I am not a diehard Lush fanatic, but I tried this conditioner a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. Well when I reordered recently, it wasn't the same at all. It was still a decent product, but the texture and thickness were somewhat different and it was not as effective as the first time around. I don't know if it's because they mix it in individual batches or what. The smell, however, was still the same and fantastic. I feel sort of bad giving this product just 2 stars because it's not a bad product but for the very high price I don't think it is worth it at all.

If you're purchasing this thinking it's going to smell like a fruity milkshake, you will be disappointed! This has more of a soft musk scent to it. It's pretty, just not as described. I will have to agree with the reviewer who said this smells like a babydoll head. You know that musky/powdery baby scent they apply to toy dollies? This is very reminiscent of that (including the odd plastic undertones). Like I said, it's a strange scent but I find myself sniffing my hair over and over again so I must like it a lot! :) This will infuse your hair with scent allllll day long and into the next day (or whenever it is you plan on taking your next shower). If you like sweet musk scents, this one is for you!



As far as moisturizing is concerned, this didn't do much for my very thick, shoulder-length hair. I ended up having to mix it with some of my other conditioner. I do have hard water and my hair is naturally prone to dryness so perhaps I just had those two factors working against my American Cream. Who knows, but it didn't do much. I think this would work well for someone with fine hair. This is a light conditioner, good for every day and it won't weigh your hair down (mine was light and bouncy afterwards. I started with Daddy-O shampoo).

Overall I think the best thing about this conditioner is the way it infuses your hair with its scent. It's definitly odd, but I just can seem to get enough of it!



American Cream is only getting 3 stars from me since I expected this to smell like a fruity milkshake (which it does not) and it didn't moisturize my hair very well. If you have dry, thick ahir like me, I recommend pairing this with another, more moisture-rich conditioner. :)

I have long hair, very thick but very dry. American Cream is one of the few conditioners that leave my hair soft, manageable and smells wonderful!! I use it with Karma solid shampoo, and rinse out as normal. After I have toweled my hair nearly dry, I put a dab in my hands and run it through as a leave in conditioner!! The smell is divine and my hair is shiny for days!!

The formulation of this mascara is really lovely. It's creamy and lightweight. It volumizes and lengthens. It doesn't make the lashes seem dry. It doesn't create raccoon eyes, even after a long day of wear.



Unfortunately, application is a nightmare. The wand comes out with such a thick coating of product that the comb doesnt even protrude. This is after several uses. It's almost like applying mascara with a plain stylus for the first few sweeps.



I'll agree with the reviewer who said not to wiggle the wand during application. That causes the worst clumps. But even without wiggling the wand, the comb seems to put my lashes into spidery clumps rather than coating them evenly. If I use a spoolie brush after application it is okay, but who wants to use two wands for mascara?



I'll keep working with it since I like the formulation so much. But it's already been a couple weeks so once this tube is used up I won't be buying it again.

Fatale tends to clump, and it takes forever to dry! I also noticed that it flaked off a bit more than Hypnose (the only other Lancome mascara I use) did. I began to use Cils Booster XL before putting the Fatale on and it looked a lot better that way. It works better if you just dip the brush in one time and use that for both eyes. It is very easy to go overboard with this.



I really suggest trying the Cils Booster XL in conjunction with Fatale. I found that it reduces the clumping and flaking.

Lancome usually makes great mascara. I've tried L'Extreme and Hypnose and they are both two of the best mascaras I've ever used.

I had high expectations for Fatale, expecting it to be at least as good as the other Lancomes, if not better, but I was extremely dissapointed.

The comb-style brush is terrible at separating lashes, and the formula is very thick. The combination of these elements yields MAJOR clumps.

If you want really fantastic lashes, go for Hypnose or L'Extreme. Fatale is not worth the money.

I love this mascara! You have to apply it correctly but I have found it the best for making my lashes really big...

I use maybelline comb mascara first, then apply Fatale, then I comb back thru with the maybelline comb, then I use Loreal Lash Architect.

Using these 3 are great and works the best of all for me....

I read the other reviews and I totally understand because I also had clumpy lashes the first time I used Fatale. I went back to the Lancome counter and asked for more information in how to apply it. If that didn't work, I was going to return it. I only gave it a second chance because I loved the lashes the girl at Lancome had.



The trick to application is this: use the comb to start at the base of your lash and work up. Do NOT wiggle the brush. That's how you get the Tammy Faye clumps (I know-it's hard to resist the wiggle habit.) Think about combing your lash from base to tip. It takes a little practice but I was much improved by the second application. You do have to be patient during application and comb the lash out SLOWLY or you will have clumps. The brush has multiple combs so rather than sticking it back in the tube to get more, just rotate the brush and begin again. What's on the applicator when it first comes out should be enough for one application. It took me about a week to get the hang of it. Like all Lancome mascaras, once it's dried it doesn't smudge or flake and will sit perfectly all day. But once all that is done, I have to say I do have gigantic, fabulous lashes that are long and fat.



This mascara provides length and thickness. If you just want length, try L'Extreme which doesn't require any special application tricks and does give you fabulously long, spikey and skinny lashes. Or there's also Definicils, their original mascara and still quite good. Bottom line is Fatale does give you some amazing eyes but it takes a little patience to learn to use it and to apply it, so consider whether you want the extra bother in your makeup routine.

I got this product as a free sample, I would not have bought it otherwise because I don't like the feel or look of most lip glosses. I usually use lip liner and rub Aquaphor on for a very slight gloss effect, problem is it looks great but washes off too soon.

This product gives that perfect hint of subtle, pretty lip color with slight shine and there is no glittery watery look to it like their is to most glosses. It made my lips look plump and healthy.

The gloss smells nice, is hardly sticky, and you need only a tiny bit of it. It stays on well.

I have medium/olive skin and use the Bare Beige color. It looks very dark in the tube but doesn't come out that way.

As far as lip glosses (or "glaces", if one feels particularly cosmetic-namey) go, this has been my favorite. The wand is sturdily and attractively packaged in a see-through plastic tube, and the glace itself spreads with liquid ease without being overly sticky or runny. While not precisely flavored, the gloss has a pleasant, non-bitter taste. It rubs off, as usual, a little too quickly, but I have to say I use it almost every day and one tube has lasted me quite a few months.

If this stuff gets near your eyes you will look through a haze for days (for example, you put it on away from your eyes but as you sleep it gets on the pillow then on your eyelids). It takes forever to sink in your skin. Smells nice, though...if you are a coffee lover. The pump was broken on mine when I got it so I had to take the lid off to use. It is very thick, almost like cream cheese, so it's difficult to get out of the jar (I figure that's why the pump wouldn't work). I used (nightly) almost the whole bottle with no results in face condition. It sits on top of the skin so I generally had to wash it off in the morning before applying make-up.

I've bought Laura Mercier lip glosses before and always loved how they provided a pop of color that was somehow both dramatic and somehow at the same time. The same is true of this eye colour. I bought it in Platinum and absolutely love it. It has an almost pink/gold color to it and is a soft color while adding a bit of the metallic look for a bit more pop. I generally prefer more natural makeup and love this because it is a little more dramatic than what I would normally where but still gives me a natural look that does not scream that I am made up. The only downside is that I do have to be a little careful when putting it on because it smears quite easily, but overall I love it. As a point of reference, I have very fair skin, blonde hair and grey/green eyes and I find that it works very well with my features.

Hands down, this is the best cream eye shadow I have ever used. I have two: Alloy (shimmery taupe) and Platinum (peach champagne). The shadow glides on smoothly, and is very forgiving (you don't have to have the precision of a makeup artist to get it right!). It is also easy to layer two different colors: I sometimes put the platinum as a base layer and the Alloy color on top. The lasting power is excellent -- it may even be waterproof. I wear contact lenses, and have NO problems with this product drifting off into my eyes, causing irritation. Additionally, it does not look fake in the natural light like some metallics do. Lastly, a little goes a long way. One tube should last a while.

I have been using this product for 2 years and have loved it. I just bought myself a new one for Christmas. And it's awful. The pencil is hard and no tint seems to come off it. It's like pulling a plastic tip across my skin. Whatever Mally did , please go back to your old creamy formula. In the meantime I will be returning this.

Like others, I read SO much about this amazing product, I got hooked. It's not the least bit soft or creamy, and the tiny point kind of tears at your skin while applying. It is an effective cover-up. Oddly enough, while sorting through some old (very old) makeup, I found a very similar pencil with a sponge at one end, but thicker and much more effective. Quite sure I didn't pay more than a dollar in those days.

I love this toner.

I smells good and feels good.

I have really bad acne and this toner totally helped it out and when I needed to refresh i just sprayed this on a cotton pad and wiped my face. It makes my face feel so good.

I know the price is a bit high but it is an awesome product and lasted me 7 months.
