My favorite part of the kit is that it comes with the two colors of foundation, so I can use the lighter color for winter and the darker color for summer. Also, I was told that if the foundation is ever too light for my skin, I can mix in some of the warmth to achieve the right shade. That is so much easier than the 2-3 different colors of liquid foundation I used to deal with!

The get started kit is a great value and comes with full written instructions on each product as well as a "how to" DVD so you can't go wrong. I received as a bonus with this kit a product called Prime Time that is applied before the makeup. It is truly amazing and I can't imagine every applying makeup again without it. Another plus is that a little goes a long way and does provide the full coverage without feeling like you're wearing heavy makeup. I would definitely recommend this product and will order nothing else myself.

This is NO reflection on the company! If your skin is dry you need to use a better moisturizer for your skin so the make up won;t look flaky and dry on your skin. I just bought the "Get Started" Bare Minerals kit from the Sephora store in NYC-Times Square a couple of days ago. I have never used mineral makeup before and I have to say that I really, really like it. I have skin that tends to start out as a bit dewy in the morning but by the evening I'm as shiny as a new penny. This makeup tames that problem. My makeup looks just as good 12 hours after I put it on this morning. It absorbs the little bit of oil that I have in the morning and keeps the oil from coming out later in the day. It's like a miracle! I've checked my make-up several times today and it still keeps looking good. I've been out in the sun a little bit, out in some humidity, back into air conditioning -- no problem. I love the primer -- my skin has never felt so smooth! I have some sun-damage on my skin (sunbathing too much in my early 20s) and I also have permanent "mother's mask" from when I was pregnant with my son 18 years ago. The foundation covers up these problems better than anything else that I've tried. And it still looks natural! As soon as I'd done with my sample sizes in this starter kit, I am DEFINITELY going to be buying the larger sizes. I am sold on this stuff!

When it's all said and done, the time it takes to spray this stuff in, brush, blow, and refix...I could have just washed my hair again. I have thin, fine hair. Maybe it would work on different hair. This product is definitely worth every penny. I have had issues w/ ingrown hair ever since i was a kid. After consistently using this product for 2 weeks on my legs and upper arm, I have seen significant improvement on my skin: my skin feels silky smooth, there are less ingrown hair, and the pores seem to have gotten smaller! I just ordered the 16 oz Tendskin - this product is highly recommended!



I also noticed that it works really well w/ the epilator. I don't use the tendskin right after epilating because I did that one time and it stung a bit. I use tendskin the morning after I have used the epilator the night before to avoid the stinging sensation.

I've been reading the promotional ads on this product for years -- but doubted the claims. I have had repeat ingrown facial hair issues after plucking. I decided to try Tend Skin. Used with discretion (it clears the follicle but dries the surface) this is an amazing product. A side benefit is that it exfoliates dead skin and leaves skin smooth. The smell is not very pleasant, and the glycerine film after the dry-down make it unsuitable as a "toner" but it is probably not intended for daily or frequent use. Only the oiliest skin could handle it daily. Follow the directions and you will get the promised result -- the clogged pore will open. Here's another surprise use -- it stops the itch of insect bites ON CONTACT. I am extremely sensitive to mosquito bites and nothing has helped -- not hydrocortisone, nor commercial remedies. I had a feeling I should try this on an especially nasty red mosquito bite that was keeping me awake, and several drops on a cotton ball pressed against the bite stopped the itch and reduced the swelling instantly. I will keep a bottle of this handy.

This product was recommended by a friend. I have been using Tend Skin for 9 years now. I use it after shaving, it burns a bit, then I wash my face with Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. It prevents most razor stubble blemishes and ingrown hairs. I also use it to clean off everyday pollutants that clog my pores, also using Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. I have also found that when a skin blemish appears, I use a Q-tip and apply a small amount of Tend Skin to the blemish, it will shrink overnight and recede within 48 hours. Tend Skin is a bit expensive, but the 16oz bottle lasts more then a year for me.

Dream Cream is a luxurious, soothing cream you will want to have on hand in the dryness of winter. Even though this is a rich body cream it absorbs fast. From the first time I used this cream I noticed the antiaging effects on my hands and body. The scent is very mild with hints of lavender and rose.

I have two daughters with severe eczema. They are also severely allergic to nuts. So many of the creams and remedies out there contain almond products which they can't use. Every cream we've tried before, even creams like aquaphor, make my daughter scream when her eczema is open, but this one doesn't hurt at all. Though battling her eczema takes many different approaches, and the Dream Cream doesn't necessarily reduce the eczema, it does reduce the itching and the pain, and lets her fall asleep. While the previous reviewer commented on the smell, I actually appreciate that it smells natural, because perfumes can also be an irritant. For anyone with extremely sensitive or eczemic skin, I highly recommend this.

because this clipper is not good at all! It is a buzzer-style clipper with very heavy vibration. It can be uncomfortable to hold. I found it best to use a firm finger tip grip - not a deep in the palm hold. Yes, the case does get very warm. I have lost one of the case screws. It must have been vibrated loose or loosely attached at the factory.



The clipper starts with a very loud click and buzz. Compared to other vibrating-style clippers, it is a very loud device.



The cut is definitely not suitable for shaving. I was not expecting razor close but this does roughly a 5 o'clock shadow. This may be okay for you if you have a particular problem with ingrown hairs from curly hair when it is cut too short. If you are very blonde, it may be okay also.



For older men, especially if your hearing is starting to go, this is a good length for the ear/nasal hairs.



The clippers cut better new than now - about 50 cuts/trims later. They don't pull the hair but the cut was closer. My hair is thick and coarse. I never could just dive in with this device. I have to nibble and cut from several directions to get an adequate cut. This is true even when I am simply edging.



I thought I was upgrading when I bought these. Previously I was using battery-operated clippers (boc). The battery life was good with alkalines. I was using rechargeables so battery life was not a problem. I thought that if the boc was good, then the Andis would be great! I was wrong. The closeness of the cut is definitely better with the boc. They gave adequate electric razor quality closeness. The heft and feel (minus the vibration) is better with the Andis. The boc are not as much toy quality as I thought. They cut closer, are quieter, cut more consistently than the Andis!!!

Spring 2009 Fashion Trends For Men

With the changing of the seasons comes the changing of the wardrobe. This used to be primarily true for just women, but as fashion becomes a bigger part of modern lifestyle it pays for men to keep track of the latest trends.

As winter makes way for spring, just like in nature, your outfits should begin to get lighter and more colourful. The dark colours - the blacks, greys and browns - that serve so well in the winter, should be cast aside for less neutral tones in early spring and then towards pastel shades as spring approaches summer. Prints are set to be big this year - with inspiration from the Far East as well as a nostalgic trip back to the 80s set to adorn T-shirts.

As well as colour, material should be examined as the seasons change. Not only does it make sense to lose the thick layers as the temperature rises, it also shows you're keeping up with the fashion. If you still feel cold, instead of reaching for a jumper grab a couple of thin layers to keep yourself cosy. This is great for those days with uncertain weather, when you're not sure whether the sun will stay or go. Remember, though, that spring fashion and summer fashion are very different so don't go straight into shorts, tank tops and sandals just yet.

With sun just as likely as rain, it's always a good idea to be prepared for all kinds of weather. While layers prepare you for the sun, you also need protection from water - from overhead and underfoot. A compact, lightweight umbrella is useful in quick showers and a waterproof jacket is always useful - cropped macs with wide lapels are likely to be in fashion in spring 2009 - and shoes that can withstand the abuse of walking through puddles; save the canvas shoes for the dry months!

This advice goes for accessories as well as clothes - so put away your woolly hats and gloves, and make sure any scarves you wear are thin and purely decorative. Always remember, though, that scarves go out of fashion the day the clocks go forward for British Summer Time and should not be worn again until the country is back to observing Greenwich Mean Time in autumn.

Nowadays, men's fashion is as ever-changing and as vibrant as what the female's style has to offer. And although it may not be a traditionally macho subject to keep up to date on, you can be sure that the guys who have more to their wardrobe than their team's latest football top will have more in common with the fashion conscious girls in society.
