I was so hoping this would be a great product for my hair. NOT! However it is a fantastic body butter for dry cracked skin on heels and elbows. My 4A fine relaxed hair hated this butter. It has a strong smell that does improve if you leave the top off overnight for one day, but the butter is very heavy and left my hair sticking to my head with no body or movement. I like my hair to swing and that was not possible with this heavy butter. If you have a bottle sitting around that has failed you, try it as a nighttime heel moisturizer under a pair of socks to blunt the strong smell. It works better than most pedicure foot creams!

I read the reviews on other Carol's Daughter products and decided to try the hair butter and leave-in conditioner. I have thick, coarse, dry hair and I've decided to try to grow out my hair naturally; I know I'll need a product that will provide much needed moisturize to my dry hair. The other reviewers are right in that it has a greasy feel and leaves a residue, but if I use it at night and use a scarf, my hair feels great in the morning. I'm neutral on the smell. The unexpected thing is how much my boyfriend likes the product for himself and he likes the smell. He has thick, coarse hair as well and he loves this more than I do! It helps provide the moisture he needs and helps his waves comes out easily.

I've been using the Carol's Daughter line for about two months now and I love all their products. The healthy hair butter is wonderful on your scalp and ends. It moisturizes without being super greasy and it's light so you don't feel like your hair is weighed down with styling products. I order direct and usually get my stuff the next day. Lisa Price, the owner of Carol's Daughter, has really come up with an all natural product that does what it says for women of color who prefer to go natural. My hair has never been this healthy.

You have to get this if you are purchasing any of the bars, soaps, or Facial cleansers. Its worth the price. I resisted for quite some time when i bought my Angels on Bare Skin, but finally purchased this tin to kwep my favorite cleanser in. That was a wise choice.

Easy to open, easy to remove the shampoo bars, & easy to store in my shower without letting water in. The result = my shampoo bars are lasting very well & are still in solid form. Although molded to fit the exact proportions of Lush's body butters, this is truly an all-purpose tin: I use it for solid shampoos, soap slices, facial cleansers, bubble bars, and body butters (obviously). Great for travel -- durable and waterproof. When I'm not traveling, I use each side as a shower tray/dish to keep the products from leaving residue on the tub. The tin's lid may be a bit difficult to remove if your hands are wet, so be sure to un-snap the lid before getting in the shower.

I know this product is for locks and twists but I found another way it works well on your hair. Occasionally I use this product to straighten my unrelaxed hair. You would apply a little on each section to straighten. This will make your hair Bone Straight, but if you use to much it will result in a limp, greasy, waxy mess.

Beware the smell is addicting!!!

This product has done wonders for my dreadlocks and I use it daily on my hair and my daughter's. The purity of the ingredients is what I really appreciate since my daughter has various allergies and is not affected by CD products at all. Since using it, my locks are fuller, thicker, and the nice citrusy smell is a plus. I plan to order more and wish there were larger sizes available. Fifteen bucks is a bit much for the size, but I'm not complaining because this is a QUALITY product!

Buffy was my introduction into the Lush line. I like to use it on the back of my arms where I get little bumps and I also like to use it to exfoliate my legs before applying self tanner. The griddiness of the bar really helps to get rid of those dry rough spots. It does leave a film behind on the skin but I didn't find it to be bothersome.



To prolong the life of your Buffy (or any soap from Lush for that matter) cut it into strips or chunks and do not leave the soap/bar in the shower. The only downside of this product is the cost.

This exfoliator bar is the most wonderful thing for winter skin! I'm absolutely addicted to it. My son has Keratosis Pilaris, this little bar has helped his skin condition more than anything the Dermatologist has prescribed. Buffy is definitely worth the price you pay for it.

I really like how this works. It's quick to use - no time spent putting on moisturizer after a shower. It exfoliates well and definitely lasts. The only thing that's a bummmer is that I have to scrub the bathtub after every shower b/c the floor turns into a crazy greasy mess and so I end up rarely using Buffy.
