I am 46 and have mature/menopausal skin. I have a yellow undertone that is in the medium range. I bought this product because I wanted an eye base and a primer in one. Not sure about the primer part but it is excellent as a base. It is yellow which neutralizes color thus when you wear it, color will be truer on your eyes. I use this product on my face also. I have a few broken capillaries around the nose ,a bit of redness on the cheeks and I also use it on my lips to get the color neutralized for lipstick. I use it on my eyes and on the little dark area between and on top of the nose. It does work well on dark areas under the eye BUT you have to be sparing with this product. A little goes a long way.Too much and it will be too yellow. Pat on do not rub on. If you have a eye concealer brush, that would work best. Over all. I love this product and I would purchase again. .

Benefit Lemon-Aid is an incredible product that I use every day. I have deep set eye sockets that always tend to look dark and tired. With just a small dab of Lemon-Aid, my eyes immediately appear brighter and, overall, I find it makes me look less tired. I use this both with and without eye shadow. Without eye shadow, my eyelids are uniform and bright (not at all yellow as the Lemon-Aid appears in the container!). With eye shadow, I find that I use a lot less shadow and get a much more intense and even color.

I must say I was weary when someone told me to buy this product because im really dark(African American). But I bought it and to tell you the truth it works and let me tell you why. Darker Ladies use it as a base and nothing else I wouldn't use it as eyeshadow per say just a base to wear those eye shadows colors that you want to pop and and to high light the brow bone. If you want something for darker skin tones that is going to the the same effect as lemon aid I suggest M.A.C.'s concealer in a pot or tube in NW-40 trough 50.

I used Lemon-aid for about a year and at first I really liked it. Then I started to notice that by the end of an eight hour work day my eyeshadow would become one solid wash/color even through I had used three different shades to create a smokey eye in the morning. I think that the oils from my eyelids absorbed the eyeshadow. I switched to MAC paintpot in Soft Ochre which is a similar color to lemonaid (Yellow beige). MAC paintpots also come in a variety of colors from pink, black, blue, and gold. I find that the paintpots work a lot better for me and my eyeshadow stays put for the entire day.
