I was so hoping this would be a great product for my hair. NOT! However it is a fantastic body butter for dry cracked skin on heels and elbows. My 4A fine relaxed hair hated this butter. It has a strong smell that does improve if you leave the top off overnight for one day, but the butter is very heavy and left my hair sticking to my head with no body or movement. I like my hair to swing and that was not possible with this heavy butter. If you have a bottle sitting around that has failed you, try it as a nighttime heel moisturizer under a pair of socks to blunt the strong smell. It works better than most pedicure foot creams!

I read the reviews on other Carol's Daughter products and decided to try the hair butter and leave-in conditioner. I have thick, coarse, dry hair and I've decided to try to grow out my hair naturally; I know I'll need a product that will provide much needed moisturize to my dry hair. The other reviewers are right in that it has a greasy feel and leaves a residue, but if I use it at night and use a scarf, my hair feels great in the morning. I'm neutral on the smell. The unexpected thing is how much my boyfriend likes the product for himself and he likes the smell. He has thick, coarse hair as well and he loves this more than I do! It helps provide the moisture he needs and helps his waves comes out easily.

I've been using the Carol's Daughter line for about two months now and I love all their products. The healthy hair butter is wonderful on your scalp and ends. It moisturizes without being super greasy and it's light so you don't feel like your hair is weighed down with styling products. I order direct and usually get my stuff the next day. Lisa Price, the owner of Carol's Daughter, has really come up with an all natural product that does what it says for women of color who prefer to go natural. My hair has never been this healthy.

The hair butter really did keep my hair moisturous (not a word) and healthy. Carol is my homey for life (translation: I'll continue to use her products until they become unavailable or until I find a cheaper product that gives me the same results).
